See a Classic Movie, Help DPs!

On the big screen, one night only!

On the big screen, one night only!

Don’t miss this chance to see the classic romantic comedy Roman Holiday, starring Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn, on the big screen! It’s the role that made Audrey Hepburn a star–she won an Academy Award for her performance.

Come as you are, or dress as a star… there will be a prize for best dressed! Valentine games and door prizes, plus a great movie, are waiting for you at the Valentine Soirée.

Monday, February 15
7 PM
Reel Mountain Theatre, Estes Park

(Theater is located in the Stanley Village Shopping Center, just below Safeway. 543 Big Thompson Ave.)

Tickets are only $12 (click here to purchase), and 100% of ticket sales go to benefit animals via the Holy Cow Project.

The Holy Cow Project was started by DPs own webmistress as a way of paying it forward after getting into vet school at CSU. She is raising $1,000 for each one of 7 different animal charities, including DPs! If she can raise more than $7,000, DPs will get any excess!

It’s a fun and easy way to help those kitties, so save the date!

January Vaccine Clinic a Huge Success!

Our vaccine clinic was bonkers!!! So many people and pets!!! Thanks for spreading the word–these clinics really help DPs and are an affordable alternative for pets.

Big shout outs to Dr. Evette, plus Mandi and the crew at Loveland JAX for being so great to us and the clients. Thanks also to Becki N, Jackie R, the Duffield Family, and Brandi! Could not have done it without them!

In other news, we just took in a sweet kitty named Mr. Whiskers. He’s not good with children, so he’s looking for a home with some nice “bigger” people!

January Vaccine Clinic

Our next vaccine clinic will be next Sunday, January 31, 2010, at the Loveland JAX from 2-4 PM.

Dr. Evette Berndt of Peaceful Transitions will be donating her time to the event, and we can always use help from volunteers!

The family of Lizzie Freeman has made it possible for Duncan’s Place to offer this service in her memory. We thank them so much for their generous work.

We will be offering a limited number of vaccines, so it is a first come, first served basis. Please have your pets properly restrained, dogs on leashes and cats in carriers. Also, if your pet had a previous allergic reaction or you are afraid of allergic reaction please contact your veterinarian before getting you pet vaccinated.

Vaccines offered:

Cats
FVRCP (Rhinotracheitis/Calicivirus/Panleukopenia)
Rabies
FeLeuk

Dogs
DA2PP (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus)
Rabies

No hidden fees or disposable fees, quick exam also comes with vaccines!!!

We will also be offering nail trims and microchipping for both cats and dogs.

More Good News

Merrick is generously donating even more food to DP’s! :) We will need help unloading and storing it–let us know if you can help! Also, if you know of anyone/organizations that could benefit from a food donation, let us know. We want to pay it forward! (The food we are getting is OK for dogs or cats.)

If you haven’t been to D.O.G.S. at The Promenade Shops at Centerra, please check them out! They have been so kind to us! Thank you Christine and her wonderful family.

Gata was adopted, hooray!

Took in 3 kittens from a meth house! Had to detox the poor babies, but they should be ready to head to a drug-free furever home soon! They are 2 Tuxedos (Flower and Etty Bitty), and General Tao (Lilac point/snowshoe cross–I just call him Little Man).

Larimer County Veterinary Association has promised us a donation, too. Thank you!
